Ten predictions for the year 2008 in SingaporeDec 28

Based on the year 2007, I thereby predict the following will take place some time in 2008:
1. NWC will not recommend a wage increase for citizens.
2. Speculation of GST rising to 10%.
3. Taxi fares will increase not once, but TWICE.
4. Bus and train fares will both increase; citing rising operations’ cost for the increase.
5. SMRT and SBSTransit will report an increase in profits for the year 2007.
6. Singapore will be overrun by Chinese Nationals (albeit that’s a little far fetched, but still possible).
7. The government will announce the country is experiencing another great year of economic growth.
8. Civil servants will be given 2-3 months of bonus.
9. Singaporeans will continue to whine and bitch about the rising cost, but continue to do nothing about it.
10. Hilary Clinton will win the Presidential Election (not in Singapore, but who
cares).
